Hey Kyle: This may be an option you have already rejected, but the Ebay store Bugpiper [Steve McVeigh] is selling No 1 Dress regimental piper's belts with a "patent" finish. It is listed as a plastic belt, but the piper's belt I have is leather with a plastic "patent" finish. If you want to look at it, the listing is here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Scottish-Militar...item2305c52f90
As for Highland Brigade, I had a nice long chat with the proprietor last year and came away thinking that he really knows his stuff, and that I may try to do business with him one day.
Let us all know how you make out. Cheers!

Thank you all for your wonderful help! I have found what I want, thanks to you all, and have ordered the MOD black patent belt from 'bugpiper.' Now, I have the tedious task of designing a custom silver buckle from Inches and Hamilton, Edinburgh! Thanks agan mates!

Before you spend a fortune at I and H send your design to Bugpiper and see if he can't quote you a lot cheaper.
The 'Eathen in his idleness bows down to wood and stone,
'E don't obey no orders unless they is his own,
He keeps his side arms awful,
And he leaves them all about,
Until up comes the Regiment and kicks the 'Eathen out.

Yes, I have been working on a particular design for quite some time now, and currently own several items from Inches and Hamilton. I shall check with bugpiper, thanks for the advice!

A military trick
Some guys that don't like to put time in on their boots use a product caller "Leather luster" it gives a PL look to leathers. It looks good and doesn't crack if done properly (read the directions).

Thanks! And thank you for your service. I knew many Navy guys since I was once an active duty U.S. Marine NCO! We always enjoyed the ride...just kidding!
Thanks again mate,

Yours aye,
Would that be the same firm as Hamilton and Inches, the well-known jewellers of Edinburgh?
