Ooh, very nice. I like the look of the Gunn in ancient colours.

It is a very nice patten, and it turned out well too I must say. My best work so far. For our Brother "Macthenife", the Jones is over. He is supposed to be coming over Saturday to pick it up.
Now I am Jonesing for my own next new kilt. I've had the fabric for a couple years at least, but the paying jobs come first.
The next one in line is in the Leslie M.C. for a Brother in Scotland. I got it all pleated up and started on the fell, when the Gunn fabric showed up.
Regards aye,
T.

The Jones is about over. On Saturday I will finally have the tank I've been looking forward to for so long and since it has been made by a close friend of mine, the kilt means even more to me.
I purchased the fabric from Scotweb, at a very good price I must say. It is in 16oz Nevis weight from House of Edgar. Very nice fabric and Tim has done a beautiful job on this kilt that will last me a lifetime.
I remember several years ago, I met Tim (Mac Ghille Sheathanaich) and his wife at a craft fair that was being held in downtown Boise. Tim had a tent set up promoting a Scottish American Society Group that he was president of. I had been involved with the Scottish American Society group at Boise State University and I thought I would stop by and chat with him. I remember that he mentioned to me at that time that he was just starting to make kilts and to look him up if ever I was to want one made. At that time owning a kilt was only a dream.
Then back in August of this last year I ran into Tim again right here on our forum. Tim had posted some photo's of a kilt he had won some awards for at a local fair and it brought back the memory of speaking to him years ago at the craft fair. I sent Tim a PM congratulating him on his win and for the beautiful work he does. Since then we have stayed in touch darn near on a daily basis.
I want to say that this forum does so much for those who are a part of it. And I'm grateful to be part of this group. Not only have I learned a great deal about all things Scottish but X-Marks helped me re-connect with an acquaintance that have become a close friend.
Thank you X-Marks and all who make it what it is.
Slainte!
Shawn
