Glasgow Highland Games in Glasgow, KY

The Glasgow Highland Games http://glasgowhighlandgames.com/ are in two weeks, June 5th and 6th. Can we get a show of hands as to who will be attending. The wife and I will be there manning the tent for Clan Barclay both Saturday and Sunday. As these tents are quite large there will be plenty of room for any Xmarkers without a home tent, to come and rest under the shade.

The athletic events will be interesting as Glasgow will host the North American Championship, USA vs. Canada. Should be some good throws coming from this group.

We're still hoping to come, finances allowing... Not sure if the little one will be with us or if it will be a "Mommy and Daddy Weekend"... We'll see...

I'll be there, helping to run the Pipe & Drum competition - won't be wandering anywhere on Saturday - WAAYYY too busy.

I'll also be leading the Louisville Pipe Band Grade 5 unit in competition. Times TBD (probably around 2PM local - Central Daylight Time).

I'll be going to the Tartan Ball that evening - look for the guy in the red Scott kilt with a full-mask badger sporran.

Gladly! It is a banner of the shield from my coat of arms, granted by Lord Lyon. It is blazoned:
Quarterly, 1st, Argent, a rock Gules; 2nd, Or, a dexter hand fesswise couped Gules holding a cross crosslet fitchee in pale Azure; 3rd, Or, on a sea undy Azure and Argent a lymphad sails furled oars in saltire Sable flagged Gules; 4th, Argent, in chief two eagles' heads respectant erased Gules beaked and eyed Azure, in base a salmon naiant Proper, overall a cross raguly Sable charged at the centre with a maple leaf and in chief and in base with two fleurs de lys Or and in the flanks with two salmon naiant Argent, a bordure indented Vert.

Hi All,

I will be attending with almost the complete family. We will be camping Friday and Saturday night.

Will be meeting my aunt and cousin, likely in the MacLeod area. I do not yet have all the details but will look for the banner and visit the Clan Barclay area.
