McRok?
Has anyone had any dealings with McRok.com? I just stumbled across them and for an argyle jacket for under $150 its hard not to pull the trigger.

Hmm, they look impressive but is their stuff of quality. I'm anxious to hear what others have to say, as I have not done business with them.

I cannot say anything about their goods, but their attention to detail is not what it should be. This is the picture from their 5 yard kilt section:
Note that the picture is back to front.

Ask them where their jackets are made. For that price, I can almost certainly guarantee they're not made in Scotland.

Very true. For that price I would never expect that they were. I'm still debating buying from them or converting a thrift store jacket. Still holding out hope someone might have tried them and has a review to offer us.
Looking at their site it reminds me of a Gold Brothers site. All things equal I do like my one Gold Brothers kilt.

Very true. At the same time a web designers knowledge of kilts may not be the best example of the company. If I end up contacting them I will mention the picture.

Wow emailed them in regards to the jackets, already heard back from them. The jackets are made from 100% wool and are not made in the UK. most likely pakistan. I'm thinking more and more that this is a Gold Brothers company. I may still order from them.
I did mention the image from the site being reversed and that reflects poorly on the company so wait and see if they get it fixxed.

What if the picture is stolen from somewhere and reversed purposely to avoid copyright infringement.

I don't think just 'reversing it' would avoid copyright infringement... it has to be changed roughly 10% so that "an average person with average intelligence could recognize a difference" or something like that. It's been a while since I looked at Copyright law (roughly 2 years since we copyrighted our tartans). Also, I've never seen that photo used elsewhere to sell a kilt package.

McRok was at one time the online retail branch of Lochcarron.
I can't speak to the quality of their jackets, but the casual kilts and various accessories I ordered from them were quality and Scottish made.
