    Moment of Fame or Infamy

I was trying to find again the youtube video of the complete perfomance of the Dumfries Homecoming Reel. While searching for it I came across another video entitled Dumfries Reels, Morris Magic and Llamas. On initial viewing, it appeared not to be relevant to what I was looking for, though I thought I recognised the chap dancing solo in the early shots. Then, forty nine seconds into the video, a lass appears from a cottage door whom I recognised as one of the members of my set at Dumfries. The ginger haired chap was her partner in the set. It seems they had a friend in the crowd with a video camera that day and our set features in a few of the subsequent clips. Thats me wearing the Queen of the South tartan sash, beside my partner wearing her grey hat which she later removes, revealing her auburn hair. So here I discover myself with a cameo role on a Youtube video which I had not previously seen!

You gave a wonderful performance, Alex. There always seems to be something going on in Dumfries!
