    Names

Hey all I know I have been away a while, i had some personal things to attened to. I plan on being a productive X Marker once again, however i noticed that the name celtic cowboy is also being used by another. I do not want to come off wrong, just wondering about this.

Do you pronounce yours with a hard or soft 'C'? If you are the Seltic Cowboy and he is the Keltic Cowboy or vice versa I would think there should be no problem.
The 'Eathen in his idleness bows down to wood and stone,
'E don't obey no orders unless they is his own,
He keeps his side arms awful,
And he leaves them all about,
Until up comes the Regiment and kicks the 'Eathen out.

I once had an argument with a know-it-all old lady who worked for my city's cultural affairs department about the "hard k/soft c" thing.

This stuff happens on the internet. I had to change my proposed ebay name by inserting a hyphen to get around the fact that somebody else (long inactive on eay) had taken it.

I see how that can be confusing. The only difference in the names is a space. I think we also have two Kilted Surveyors. It would be nice if the forum software could recognize similarities when signing up. For now just don't change your avatar. Thats how I initially recognize people anyways.

It is too close - I would take it up with Steve. You were here first and he is a new newbie.

I suggest trial by arm wrestling to resolve the issue.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Bugbear, I think you're on to something there. Since it's a kilt forum, perhaps caber tossing, stone throwing, or scotch drinking would be more appropriate? . I think I could get to like this form of conflict resolution.
