Appalachian Celtic Festival and Highland Games
I somehow got on the planning commitee for this, so I decided to put the info on here now and add to it as more info rolls in. Appalachian Celtic Connection
The festival runs Saturday 10am-6pm, and Sunday 10am-5pm
The main performers will be Highland Reign (they rock and are some good folks to hang with) Highland Reign
other music to be added as we sign them.
Saturday night following the end of the first days activities, there will be a Ceilidh at the Ringgold Depot
Both days will have Highland games, crafts and Celtic food vendors, and childrens activities...and again, more to be added soon.
There will also be Clan reps present which as of right now include MacNeil, Lamont, Cameron, Hay, MacLaren, Buchanan, Gunn, and Keith, hopefully we will add more as the invites come back to us.
If anyone is interested in being a vendor, competitor, have a Clan tent, or just want a place to hang out for the day, come on over and say hey, I'll be at the Lamont tent both days

Since I didn't see this in your posting, the event is to be held in Ringgold, GA, and the dates are Sept. 4-5, 2010.

It looks like a fun event, but it's a little over 4 hours from me, so I won't be there. I hope it goes well.

Thank you, it seems to be formulating up nicely. We a trying to spread the budget to add more events. It has been held for several years, but at different places. The city of Ringgold really wants it to be the center for it and hopefully it will become a regular place for it.

I just ran a search for a Facebook Event Page and didn't find one. If you or any of the other organizers is on FB, you should create an Event Page... it's the fastest and most reliable way I have to get the word out to my friends.
