Edinburgh KILT: Photo Project
Hey guys,
I'm Federico, an italian photographer.
I won a Photo Prize and Stills Gallery invited me for an artistic residency in Edinburgh, where I have to develop a project.
I want to speak with my images and my fantasy about the Kilt and now, after having studied the history of scotland and the origins of the Kilt I need a suggestion:
How or where can I find some (2 or 3) volunteers happy to help me and to be photographed with their KILT??? Obviously here in Edinburgh!!!!
THANKS A LOT,
Federico Modica

Welcome, from Inverness-shire. Without wishing to upset you, or the residents of the good City of Edinburgh, might I suggest that the Highlands, the home of the kilt, might be a more appropriate place for your pictures.

Jimmy, thanks... I'll write you soon a P.M.
Jock, you're really right.
But:
1) I can move only with public transports...last week I went to Plokton, wonderful landscape but the travel has been something "IMPOSSIBLE"...
2) Edinburgh has everything I need to do my series of portraits: a Kilt Fabric, The Castel, Arthur Sit, a lot of people.
In fact my project is not THE KILT IN ITS LANDSCAPE but is an INTROSPECTION on the History of the kilt and also on the way NOW people see the KILT and this tradition.
Thanks a lot for your suggestion...You all were very Kind...
If other people wants to join my project as Jimmy, just write to me!!
Thanks again!

Hi Modix,
I live not far from Edinburgh and would be happy to pose for you - always providing I am not playing golf!
No problem if you don't think I am "right" when we meet.

I'm in Edinburgh every couple of weekends and would be up for that!
me and Jimmy would be the perfect pair... young-ish and... o... l... nevermind! ;)
But I'd certainly be up for it. Are you looking for traditional or contemporary?
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

hi there,
thank you for your wonderful support.
I'll contact you soon.
I'm a little bit busy for the next couple of days 'cause I'm in touch with the Castle of Edinburgh Administration to have the possibility to shoot something there. And I'm trying to have the permission to do a shot to the police kilt I've seen in the police info center in the Royal Mile (but it seems to be really hard!!)
Then I will contact you...
THANKS!

Paul, you seem to missed out the last few words in your sentence, whatever could they be?
