Hello
I was tempted to put "from BLANK" in the title, but I realized that since I am currently in Washington, live in California, and go to college in Washington DC, that may be a bit too complicated for a title.
So, here's the lowdown on me. My name is Luke, I'm Clan Ramsay (and also entitled to MacLean and MacKinnon). I'm a student at Georgetown University. I am a Confederate reenactor (currently without a unit) and a one-time Soviet reenactor. I'm currently in Sequim, WA, staying with family. But normally I'm in Lancaster, CA.
I first heard about X Marks the Scot a couple years ago, I was wearing my kilt to high school (par for the course for me), and one of the teachers recommended it to me. Being a high school student, I naturally forgot about it for a while. And "a while" happened to take the form of at least a year, and at most two. Now, having a year to myself and just coming back from the Bellingham Highland Games, this site came bubbling back up to the surface.
So, there you have it. "It" being "me" I suppose you could say.

I used to live in Washington, DC, (alas, probably before you were born) and remember visiting Georgetown University. It was (and probably still is) lovely. What are you studying?

Georgetown is rather lovely, though the summers are atrocious. And Snowpocalypse took all the fun out of winter.
I'm in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, getting the basics covered. I won't declare my major for another year or so, but I'm leaning toward International History.

from Chicago. I have a nephew who will be a junior at Georgetown. I think he's doing a double major in Chinese and some part of Foreign Service - He's heading to Beijing for a year studying abroad.

I know a few people studying Chinese, I admire them. I personally doubt I could ever learn it. The pitch intonations are tough.
