Difficulty Loading Forum Pages
Has anyone been having difficulties with the forum pages taking a very long time to load?
I've tried both IE and Firefox, and XMTS is the only site I can find that is doing this. It started yesterday evening, I think I'm on the same time zone as the forum, and has been happening intermittently today as well. It happens whether I am logged on or not, and I'm guessing it takes at least a minute, or more to load a page.
Thank you
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Hi Ted, your not alone. My problems started last night as well. I was unable to load the site, and had to give up. Other websites loaded just fine.
Meanwhile, today it varies from slow to normal speed for me (I have DSL & utilize Firefox).
This has happened once or twice to me in the past. Very frustrating but it usually works itself out after a few hours (for me anyways).

I think everyone has, there was a thread this morning that sited this issue as well. What's odd is that it's intermittent. Sometimes, like now, everything is as fast as normal. Other times I can go wander the house for 10 minutes and when I come back the new page still hasn't loaded.
It IS the site, everything else I've tested, sites and browsers perform the same as your experience.

Ok, thank you so much.
This was driving me completely crazy. You wait and wait, then close the brouzer, and have to log back in, and wait and wait. *SCREAM*

I will go take a deep breath and rest.

Having the same issue and it started last night for me as well. Just thought I would chime in. I was starting to get a little frustrated myself but crossing my fingers it works itself out. On a technical not I use Firefox running on Mac OS X.

Guess what guys, It's happening to me too.
this morning when I got to the shop I found 56 error messages about it in my mailbox.
I have sent a trouble ticket to our host and the first guess from them was that for some reason we are exceeding our 250,000 page request per hour limit.
As soon as I hear something firm back from them I will post here with the answer about what is going on.

Yep, me too...taking a long time to load a page. It's taken me over 5 minutes to get to post this message.
Thanks, Steve, for the update. Hope we're back to normal soon!!

THANKS STEVE>
It's like one of those dreams where there's a monster or something, and you try to run but your legs will only move very slowly.

Glad to know you are on the case Steve.
Here it's very slow to load or the connection times out at times.

Very very slow for me. When I get an email notification about a subscribed thread and click on the link it's fairly quick...not as fast as normal, but not as slow as opening the forums. Weird.
Hope it's fixed soon. Thanks for jumping on it Steve! Now if the techies would get moving...
