You are incorrect, I'm afraid. The option is available to everyone. All one has to do is join X Marks the Scot to receive the 10% discount. (Which I'm sure most of have done! )

This would then bring the price for a Knife-Pleated Deluxe down to $459.00-652.50 CAD (approximately $443.00-$630.00). Quite a bit of difference, I'm sure you would agree!

Those discounts may well be available to anyone in the sense that Xmarks is a public forum which is free to join. However, it isn't advertised on the website that a discount is available.

This means that the discount is not available to anyone who stumbles accross their website, and means that the correct retail price is the price that is listed on their website. Should that matter given that this data is compiled on Xmarks meaning that the prices should be relevant to us? Yeah, I think it should. The info Brice is compiling is the retail price.

Just to clarify this point with the Scotweb discount, in fact we don't even require visitors to join XMTS, but only to be browsing here. Our site recognises any 'referal' from XMTS, so even a link to our site in someone else's posting for example should automatically trigger the special discount. For that reason I'd certainly feel that price comparisons here should take this into account, or at least mention it. :-) Thanks.

I must say I agree with this reasoning. As this comparison is on this site it becomes the "xmts retail price". however, maybe just a note saying that if navigated from this site a 10% discount applies.
