From what seemed to be a diminishing crowd, we became quite a rabble. ThistleDown, Jhockin, Xman, RB51, son of RB51, Dougald, BruceBC, Gordon Kirkbright and myself all shared some laughs and a few pints. The day started a bit overcast but the sun did come out. As usual, great entertainment, great fellowship and a general good time was had by all. My thanks to those who were there and to those that missed out, next year, the last Saturday in June......we'll be looking for you.

Just a couple of pics, I was busy keeping the rabble in line.
Two elder gents do the brew!

My nephew, Brynn in his kilt and kit from SWK. This was his first games and his first real foray in his outfit.

He had a great time and wants to try his hand at competing IF I can keep him out of the whiskey tasting tent!

So how was the whisky tasting, Mike? I had to leave before you returned. Your tasting notes are that are required

The standout for me was a Auchentoshan 3 Wood. This whisky is finished in three different types of barrel. If I remember right they are sherry, madiera and oloroso. The colour was beautiful, the nose interesting and the taste magnificent. At $80.00 a bit steep for many but definitely on my list of must gets.

Almost. It was matured in American Bourbon oak and finished in sherry and Oloroso casks.
MMMMMMM.
What others made it to your list?

Mikey, on behalf of both of us I acknowledge your recognition that elder is not in the greyness of hair, but as it equates to vast wisdom accumulated during life of whatever duration. Our nod to you, petit enfant.
Will you show your new tat to all who could not be there?
