On most people, the tension of the knit cuff itself is enough to keep it in place (unless you are sword-fighting or -dancing, I suppose!). "Spindleshanks" might need either a smaller than usual size, or a round of light elastic built into the cuff. I have also made larger than usual cuffs with elastic inside to allay any fear of sagging.
Once the cuffs have been worn and stretched a bit, they can be restored to original size by gently pulling top and bottom, all the way around the circumference. I include instructions on this, as well as washing info, with every pair sent.
