What Brought Me To XMarks

As I'm quite new here, one of the first posts I read on this forum was a query asking how Hamish was holding up. Curious to know who this was, I started digging through the forum in search of references to Hamish and quickly discovered that the reputation and admiration were well deserved. I had been considering a kilt purchase for some time, but Hamish's photos, sense of humour, and "kollection" are what inspired me to finally take the plunge.

I'm sorry that I haven't yet been able to interact with the man that drew me in to this wonderful community and I hope to have the opportunity in the very near future.

When I first started posting on XMarks, all I had was a Sportkilt and a cheap sporran. Hamish was extremely active at the time, and his kollection of pictures blew my mind... I'd never seen so many different kinds of kilts, worn so well. (I have since discovered HRH Prince Charles, who IMHO is the only person who comes anywhere close to equaling Hamish in terms of pure kilted style.)

As time goes by and I am able to really get my own little kollection off the ground, it is my intention to use Hamish's pictures as a guide. He is an inspiration.
