I suppose you'll go to Culloden; it is a special place. If you do, don't miss the Clava Cairns just SE of it (you could almost walk). Do get over into the western highlands if you can. Some of the small coastal towns in Scotland are superb.
I am not sure about Hector Russell, but everything else you say is bang on.

Okay, thanks. I have look at many of those kiltmakers online. Problem truely is my Tartan. I would prefere to get the Walker Dress Modern Tartan. I have found only a few Place that carry or will make my tartan. Yes, I could go with something like the Black Watch, but I would love to get my family Tartan.

Thank you again for all the suggestion.

Just a question about the Flyplaids. When are they supposed to be worn?

FYI, It is my understanding that this tartan is a recent (1991) invention. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but some folks mistakenly assume that if a tartan is registered for their surname it is 1) historic and 2) an actual clan tartan. You might really consider getting a tartan in one of the MacMillan tartans, since Walker is a surname associated with that clan. They are much more readily available and you may enjoy being part of a "clan" and wearing that clan's tartan. I'd hate to see you go to the hassle of getting a tartan custom-woven for a kilt and then deciding that isn't really what you want.

    Best of luck!

    Cordially,

    David
