    My Pics from Edinburgh

As Alex said at the start of this thread, he and I had a chance to meet last Sunday in Edinburgh. My daughter came over from America to Germany, where I work, and as a surprise, my wife and I took her to Edinburgh for a long weekend. She knew it was to be a Mystery Weekend, but she thought it might be to Berlin or Poland. Didn't find out until we got to the airport on 16 July. She was very happy, even though we only got to stay until Monday.

Saturday Morning we visited the Royal Yacht Britannia at Leith, and in the afternoon walked down the Royal Mile about half-way, stopping along the way. Sunday morning was Holyrood Palace, then met Alex at noon.

Afternoon was spent at the National Museum of Scotland, then supper together and Alex departed homeward and we returned to our B&B.

Here are some Pics I took to go along with Alex's.

Alex is wearing the Maple Leaf Tartan from Freedom Kilts and I'm wearing the German Heritage Tartan from USA Kilts (Rocky designed it in the colors of the German Flag to honor his Grandparents ).

Alex standing in front of a weaving loom. His family was involved in the weaving trade in Paisley, Scotland.

Alex in front of a steam engine. He is very knowledgeable on the subject.

Alex and I on top of the National Museum. Quite a view of the City. Highly recommend it and the Museum if you are in Edinburgh. Admission is free.

My daughter and I on the Terrace Level.

View of Edinburgh Castle from the Terrace Level.

View of the middle part of the Royal Mile. St. Giles Cathedral in the skyline.

    That's all.

    Tom
