Where did you live at in Scotland?
I went to Aberdeen University for a year, where I met my now husband, Arlen. He is from Glasgow. After I finished with school I lived with him in Glasgow for six months trying to find a job so I could stay permanently. No luck, unfortunately, so I came back to Idaho and he joined me here. I think we're both conflicted about which side of the pond we like more. They both feel like home at this point, and we miss whichever place we're not in.

Oh cool, so you married a Glaswegian eh? Must be wonderful to be able to listen to that Scottish accent all the time!
I can surely understand about missing whichever place you're not in at the time, but I think one deciding factor for me is this heat in Alabama! I hate it! Once I came back over here after living over there for several years, my body never did get re-acclimated to the heat here.

At this point, I'm not sure adsmguy. We are stuck on one part of our family tree, regarding one Alan (Alen) Henderson. If we can only find out who his parents were! This has been a very frustrating part of our search! Hopefully we will eventually find the answer!
If any of those you mentioned have their roots in Glencoe, then most assuredly, we're likely related. Would be cool to find some more relatives!

I work near there! We need to try and get all the Alabama folks together sometime. Maybe the Tilted Kilt in B'ham or something.

Oh yes, Arlen's got a wonderful accent. He doesn't sound like a typical weegie, but his voice is wonderful.
I know what you mean about the heat. Summer in Idaho is pretty sweltering. I daydream about fog and rain a lot.
