When I had this issue before, I lucked out and had a session with Cori (who works for Wendy) who's one of the personal trainers at my gym here at Stanford. Cori suggested several exercises for knee rehab, one of which was easy lunges onto a bosu, with light weights in my hands.

OK, so I did those on Tuesday. OWWWW...ow ow ow ow ow. I had diddly strength in the right knee to push back off the bosu, andit hurt!. I did 'em as best I could, even though they hurt. Then I did a mess hamstring curls with very light weight and knee extensions with...**groan** fifteen pounds. FIFTEEN pounds.

OK, well, I'm not in there to impress the babes, I'm sitting on that machine to get my knee ready for Enumclaw so I refuse to be embarrassed by that fifteen pounds.

I did that again yesterday and last night I gave the medial muscles and tendons around the right knee a good, hard, long rubdown with Ben Gay. This morning....next to no pain and I can push off the knee again. It's not 100%, nowhere near it, but it is MUCH better.

I will rest it this weekend (going to my 35th high school reunion) and then get in another two rehab sessions next week. I'll practice caber, WOB and sheaf next Tuesday (no twisting forces on the knee) and we'll see how it goes next Sunday in Washington.
