You might have to buy silk tartan, and then sweet-talk Sydnie7 into making the shirt. I remember silk shirts from not too long ago.

Scotweb can get almost any tartan in silk. IIRC it's about 100 quid the yard, single width.

I personally agree. I think light cotton or a good linen are better than silk. Plus, both launder a LOT easier, which is a concern whilst away on holiday. It's nice to be able to rinse it in your hotel sink if it gets too sweaty or dirty.
