Carter (Savannah) – sounds good to me!
I also like the muted colouring.
It is especially apt because the colours are not only traditional (in the Scottish context) but appropriate to where you live.
    Regards,
    Mike

Thanks, Mike, I appreciate that observation, it's exactly what I was going for. Btw, am I right to think I've seen quite a few great designs under your name in the Scotweb designer galleries?

Thanks, Ken. Yes, I have done quite a number – trying to make up for the lack of South African tartans, and showing off our natural beauty.
    Regards,

Overall I like it, especially the colours.

In terms of design, you might try varying the sizes of your lines a bit... the red stripe on the green field looks almost the same size as the central green/yellow stripe and the red stripe next to the off-white. Maybe make the central band wider and the background red smaller to get a better balance through contrast. Or vice versa.

I'm not professional though, so that's just a musing about something to try...

Ken, This is lovely! It's perfect for wearing here in Savannah; it was my first thought before I read your explanation of the colors. I'd wear it!
