Angus meat pies ad
AKA Scotsmen On The Worksite.
Those with access to Facebook should be able to enjoy this:

Just click to see the ad. I saw this via another route because I don't have FB access myself, so I can only hope it works. If not, Google for the Austrailian ad as in the title of this thread.

Y'see, that's why I have trouble accepting that kilts were ever actually worn shorter than knee length.

Good ad. Clearly perpetuates the idea that we are regimental under our kilts. Keep the mystery alive!
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

I was in the supermarket the other day, where they were having an in store promotion of the pies and got a dozen of them free cause I was wearing a kilt.
I also got a lot of "there's the Angus pies man" from a lot of kids who were with their mothers shopping

Great story! LOVE the image of you in a kilt being followed around the grocers by a giggling rabble of kiddies, all shouting "There's the Pie Man"
I had a pie floater the other night for dinner... spicy sauce, mushy peas, pie, and a liter of bitters. Mmmmmmmmm. I love when the wife and sprog are away.
Even though I just ate, I could use a pie floater right now

Pie floater? I believe that is a delicacy in Adelaide.
A pint of bitter should go down well with it.
I liked the Angus ad!

Pure genius! That’s why I don’t wear my tank to work! The guys in the office sure got a kick out of the video.
