Thank you everyone for your kind welcome to 'No.100', and for your Good Wishes. Although I learned yesterday that I will be called for surgery in about two weeks, I actually feel brighter and more alert than I have for about nine months, but I still have most of the inconvenience of the symptoms I had when diagnosed in January - I guess I am just learning to live with them! The surgery should put an end to those, hopefully.
To answer two of your questions:
Charlie, Riverkilt is correct; some of my earlier acquisitions no longer fit me - the Utilikilts and some others, for example, have no means of waist adjustment. As we know, some kilts shrink when simply hanging in our wardrobes ( ), so I have no alternative but to 'archive' them when that happens!
And to Mike, the sporran is far from new, is quite a favourite of mine and has been in the 'sporran collection' for several years. It came from www.leathersporrans.co.uk in Scotland.
Take care,
Ham.

All the best for the upcomming surgery Hamish and it's great to hear you are feeling brighter. I also have a two of those sporrans, one black and the other brown, as I believe you do. They were my first two leather sporrans when I started wearing the kilt and have been very servicable.
Keep well

I also wanted to say that it is quite refreshing to see you so light and giddy about your 100th kilt, as if it were your first. It brings a smile to my face because I have just ordered my FIRST "official" kilt from USAkilts. I've owned some phillabegs for re-enacting, and some wool tartan fabrics used as great kilts. I've even borrowed a few in my time. But this will be my first hand made to measure kilt, in one of my family tartans. I am really stoked for it's completion, and subsequent arrival. Hopefully one day I'll be just as excited and youthful, posting about my 100th Kilt!
Here's to your good health,
Cheers!

Wow!! And it matches your yard magnificently! What a great kilt! Glad to see you at least getting on the mend, too, Ham! It's a pleasure to see you back on the board!

My congratulations on your #100! It is a great story, but more important, it is a beautiful kilt.
I was glad seeing a picture of you, after these months of preparations for the operation. I wish you strength with the operation, and may it help!
