A couple of the park's residents decided that they wanted the salt from the road more than getting out of the way of the cars. The Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep here are used to visitors in their yard.

My other granddaughter, Hannah, is showing the wee airship one of the mountain streams going through a high mountain meadow. Rather cold water coming off the melting snow.

My grandson, Harrison, was just having too much fun to take care of the Saltire so my son-in-law decided to lay down the law and cool him off, of course he is allowed to do that since he is an officer in Clive, Iowa. If you aren't familiar with how cold a mountain stream is at about 9500 ft, he will be happy to let you know.

Near the top of Fall River Road we stopped by one of the snow banks so that the kids, all 6 of them could get into a snowball fight in the middle of the summer. And yes, my daughter Jessica was in on it too.

Here are a few pictures from about 10,500 ft. on Trail Ridge Road, the paved road through Rocky Mountain National Park from Estes Park to Grand Lake.

Here Doug, my son-in-law, is showing the Saltire one of our mountains that is over 14,000 ft, Longs Peak. Oh wait, too many clouds up there.

After getting back down, the wee airship decided it was time to refresh her stores of water. The feeling was that the cold, pure water would be best for her.
