I can't believe you used that pun....I would be emBEARassed.
I saw a news clip that stated the Grizzly was a sow with two cubs. Like throwing kerosene on a fire.
As far as the Bear Tartan. I don't know the affiliation, but it reminds me of a Speech I had to give covering Salmonid spawning and positive riparian impact. I thought I would find a picture of a bear, Google gave lots of pictures, and it wasn't what I thought they would be.

Was that the incident with Jack Hanna?

I did a summer in Northern Ontario as part of a geological mapping party. Yeah, bears of any kind? Scary.

I could not tell you, I was getting coffee, and heard the tail end of the story.

Myself, wife, and friend noticed the campground was closed but had not yet heard of the incident. We had been on a day trip over the Beartooth highway. I've only seen one grizzly in the wild, and that one at a distance, but I was duly impressed. Makes you realize exactly where humans rank on the food chain.

For the record, my thanks to Celtophile for pointing out the LGBT connection of the Bear tartan.
I was already aware of this, but since I am fond of the colour brown, I rather like the look of the Bear tartan. However, since I am not of the LGBT persuasion, I will have to forget about wearing it.
Regards,
Mike

Yes, Chris did well with the design of the Bear tartan. Unfortunately, I have let go of wearing kilts, and put the wearing of tartan on hold, as my Scottish roots turned out to be Irish tubers.
Just for the record, I am switching to Chicago citation style, rather than MLA, to be more consistent with cajunscot. I have several style manuals to reference, so hopefully I can quickly get use to it.
Chicago... Bears?
Bear sighting... citing?
I'm just being maizey.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Yellowstone is one of my favorite places on earth. I love hiking and camping there. Wearing a kilt makes it even more enjoyable. I go up at least one a year in late may or early June to take pictures of the bears as well as the other nature subjects. I haven't sold alot of them but have managed a few sales.
Bears don't really scare me (as long as you do your part your odds of being hurt are really low). but haveing murderers wandering in the park like this week was a little weird.

Wasn't there something a while back about how Yellowstone is one of the more high risk places in the USA, regarding human behaviour?
