Balmoral
As you all probably know I am not a technical expert so this may not be possible for those of you away from our(UK) shores. There is on "BBC Iplayer" a program about Balmoral------lots and lots of tartan, pipes and interesting comments! If you can see it, then do!

For those of us who are too lazy to search for it, do you have a link you can post??

OK, so it was "right on top" in the search but:
"Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only, but all BBC iPlayer Radio programmes are available to you. Why?
If you are in the UK and see this message please read this advice.
Go to Radio channels home page"
For those that are in UK: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00mqg2c/Balmoral/

Thanks Jock
It sounds like a no go for now Jock, but thanks for thinking about us!! Perhaps it will make it to another format and we can catch it then.
Regards,
Brooke

Oh how I wish the BBC would unlock their BBC iPlayer outside the UK... They have some terrific content!

The BBC-speak language that comes up is both defiant and apologetic all at once. Perhaps the BBC locks out outsiders so they can continue asking $40 each for the NTSC DVDs they put out (they can ask that much but not receive, at least not from me). But let's say some guy pays about $240 for a UK passport that isn't really needed for anything right now, should that not give this theoretical individual special overseas privileges? Just asking....
They are missing out on a chance for some great tourist publicity, but this IS the BBC.

It’s not just the Beeb, folks.
I used to listen to Classic FM (in London) on the internet. But when I last tried to do so, I found a request for my (British) postal code.
They explained that their licence conditions don’t permit them to broadcast (even on the net) outside Britain.
This strikes me as an evil move on the part of the Labour government (it was still in power then) to deprive the rest of the world of British culture.
I have to make do with Classic FM South Africa. The music selection is fine, but the local traffic reports for Gauteng bore me to tears – it’s 1 000km away from where I am, for Pete’s sake!
Regards,
Mike
