Wasn't there something a while back about how Yellowstone is one of the more high risk places in the USA, regarding human behaviour?

Just ask any NPS Ranger. I've heard horror stories from fellow rangers who worked in the larger parks...

I was there in June and as I was driveing south by yellowstone lake I ran into a road block of 5 ranger cars. A ranger approached me carrying a shotgun (as were the other rangers). I was allowed to pass but was told not to stop or pick up any hitchhikers. It turned out to be nothing. (some guy high centered his car trying to uturn and then ran off into the woods) but it was weird.

I'll bet.....Yosemite is another one that has had some "issues" reported in the media in the past recent years.
