...and that's awesome! Same thing happened to me at Sycamore Shoals Park, after the Grandfather Mountain Games. We were watching the ranger give a hatchet throwing demonstration. He was a very good speaker, and gave lots of interesting info on the passtime of throwing, but was having trouble getting his 'hawks to stick.
When it came time that he asked for volunteers to try their hand, I said sure, as I'd never really thrown a 'hawk before(thrown many a shuriken, senban, knife, etc... though) and wanted to give it a go. After I took my turn, he had us take this picture(edited to protect the innocent) and send it to him, so the other rangers would believe him:
