Accessories - What's on Your "Want" List?

It seems that we on the board so frequently talk about our next "Kilt Jones" that I have a list of about 6-7 tartans I'd like made into kilts by our various kilt makers.

One thing that isn't talked about in a consolidated way is what accessories we're really dying to get our hands on.

Hopefully this will get the ball rolling; My accessory "want" list. (in no particular order).

X-Marks cap badge- ordered (Steve just got a new batch in) I'll most likely use it as a kilt pin. I've been really jonesing for one since I became a member here, but they were out of production.

Bonnet, Ryan Ross and I are working on one right now, I just need to make up my mind on the colour.

Sgian Dubh, like Drac makes HERE. Again, basic black is hard to beat. I'm not a fan of stones or too much carving, however traditional they may be.

A really nice pair of hose- still shopping and trying to make up my mind, there are just too many options. I really like dicing for a formal look, but may wait until I get my tartan made and kilt produced.

    Garter ties
, I'm not a fan of flashes. I'll probably end up with 3 pairs. Probably mustard yellow, red, and loden green.

Tweed day jacket and waistcoat. I know this isn't an 'accessory' as such, but it ISN'T a kilt, so I'm putting it on the list. I'm naturally drawn to black and grey, but am trying to wean myself off of those colours. I think something in a bracken green, possibly with a windowpane plaid in a darker brown might do for me. Crail style cuffs for me as well.

Sporrans- not so much a buy as design/make, but I really want to get around to a formal sporran for myself. I really like the look of bear fur, I could see it with a very glossy leather cantle. The other option I love is bobcat.

So that's what is on my "Want" list... What's on yours?

    What would I really like?

A TCS sporran I really like the look of them and have just never got round to sorting it out

Belt the one i have now is fine but has Union Kilts stamped all around it so i would like one which is plain but without the big plate buckle.

A Bow Tie which I can tie the one I have just now i bought from eBay and is a little too small for me to comfertably tie round my neck

More hose The only decent pairs I have are in red and black and my next kilt is looking to be more blue so...

Theres more but I cant think right now probaly for the best.

    Oh geeze, where to start?

A nice formal sporran. A full mask sporran. A Rob Roy sporran.

An embossed belt with a Cunningham crest buckle.

A wool semi-formal jacket, tailored to me.

    A PC coatee.

A Barb T. kilt. A Newsome kilt. A Lair kilt.

    A bonnet of some type.

A nice basket hilt sword and scabbard.

A 2-week trip to Scotland, including a visit to a weaver's mill and a bespoke kilt. With plenty of stops for tours and tastings at several distilleries.

    That's all. For now.
