I would like a charcoal tweed jacket like a Braemar or a Crail someday.
I'm just highly leery of "kilt obsession" these days, so I'm not buying anything, though I am slowly sending Euros to M'Lady Chrystal for that Capercaillie kilt.

At the start of the year I had a wish list a mile long, sporrans, kilts, jackets, hose. I have been extremely fortunate and most of the wish list has become a reality (I am currently waiting on the last 2 items I ordered) So my wish list is a big fat ZERO

My want list is a mile long – especially since I don’t have a kilt or a sporran.
Okay, first on the list is a sporran made out of the caracal pelt my colleague got for me at the weekend.
Next, 13oz a four-yard double box-pleated kilt in Mighty Men tartan (to start my kilt collection off).
Then, when I can persuade the wife I need another kilt, a Saltire tartan kilt (a 16oz “tank”) and a black leather sporran.
Of course I will need kilt hose to go with each kilt (fortunately I now have two pairs of flashes).
And a proper bonnet instead of the lightweight Black Watch number I got at Scotweb.
As for the rest, I can dream, can’t I?
Especially when it comes to having my tartan designs woven.
Regards,
Mike

When a post is reported there is a set of procedures that Moderators have to follow - these may be read in the FAQs section.
As the post was clearly reported for the picture it contained it was removed for review.
It would have been pointless to remove the one post with the picture that was reported without removing the response that included the picture again.
The review must be completed within 72 hours and the result published. If the report is not upheld the posts will be restored.

Couple pairs of new hose...probably some flashes too
Brogues in oxblood
Tweed jacket and vest
Brass cantle for horsehair sporran currently on hold in the queue at SHO
Hunting-style sporran
Couple more dress shirts
Nice kilt pin of some sort
Sock knife
Kid gloves for dealing with gentle souls who are easily offended
Patience for dealing with stuffy souls who are easily offended
Tranquility of soul to ignore protests from both
Clarity to know when to be offended by the outrage of others
Scissors to cut through red tape
More girls
More scotch
More kilts
More
More
Moar!
More.
Can't wait to see the results of Mike's caracal sporran.

One thing on my list -- soon to be fulfilled -- is a sgian dubh from Rab Gordon. Just got a progress pic from him today!
Other things include too many daywear and formal items to list; but this thread is doing me a HUGE service by pointing me in the direction of specific versions of things in the general categories I had in mind -- like the Ferguson Britt sporrans for example, oh YES!!!
Thank you one and all.

I have wrestled my want list down to nothing kilt, Highland, and accessory related. I survive on little more than contemplating and discussing things, such as, buffalo hair sporrans, flint dirks, atlatl dubhs, and the endless debates over proper curmudgeonwear.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Ted,
Do you know how silly it would be to have a black atlatl? Suppose you had to find it in the dark to fling one of those flint dirks at a fruit bat which was trying to sip the juice from one of the sour oranges that you so patiently coppiced, air-layered, and otherwise monkeyed with to make grow? If I had an atlatl, I'd paint it with glow-in-the-dark paint and put some noisemakers on it, so I could always find it when I needed it.
Back on topic now:
I want a formal sporran, but no tassels.
I want a Sheriffmuir, but I'm broke.
I want a kilt made in my yet-to-be-designed-much-less-woven college tartan.
I want the tartan hose I'm making to be finished so I can start the leaf ones and have them ready to wear by the first of November.
C'est tout.
