Pronunciation of Chattan?

The subject really says it all - I've heard it pronounced "kattan" and "chattan" (with a "ch" as in "church").

Which is correct?

Neither. It is pronounced "Hattan," maybe with a slight "roughness" to the h, as found in the word loch,as if you were clearing your throat!
