Some great pictures there, Jeff, and some great kilts. Glad to know you do possess a bonnet or two aside from that cap that Jock dislikes so much!

Wow, such a fabulous travelogue Jeff, thank for sharing these pics and a great narrative.
The pics of St. Andrews brought back lots of happy memories of visits there while my daughter was a student at St. Andrews University from 2000 to 2004.

Great stuff Jeff, thanks for the pix and commentary. As a golfer I can say, that you have done what I am sure every golfer dreams of, to play at such magnifiicent courses in the land, that is the home of golf, And in my opinion, so wonderfully attired. I applaud you.

It was fun to ride along with you on your golf cart, as you took us Xmarkers around these courses with you. This thread has been a great deal of fun! Thank you for thinking of us as you made your rounds!

And for me the St Andrews shots brought back happy memories of when I was a student there from 1972-1976.

What wonderful photos of a trip and golf that many of us can only dream of. Sounds like you had some GREAT shots to be able to putt for birdies (even though your putter failed you sometimes). You looked very well turned out for your kilted rounds. I'd be happy to be have the opportunity to be on the green and having first putts for PAR.
Thanks for posting and sharing your rounds with us.

What a great thread, Jeff! Thanks for showing us your trip. I don't golf, but I can feel your passion for being able to go to Scotland and play. I'm glad you you had a good time.

Absolutely wonderful photos! I visited St. Andrews last summer, but not to play golf. I was under the assumption that it was practically impossible for the average bloke to secure tee time there without luck of the draw.
So great that you could score such a wonderful opportunity!

Cousin Forrester,
Especially given the rocky start, it's great to see you had such magnificent experiences.
Almost enough to interest me in golf, but I have to hang with Mark Twain on that one.

Thanks for letting us enjoy the trip, too! I hope it is not a once in a lifetime event. Then again, you'll have to go back to Royal Troon to play again WITH your kilt once they get themselves squared away.....
