Kasteel Ooindonk, Scottish Festival, Belgium 2010
I spent the last few days in Belgium, and managed to attend a Highland Games at Kasteel Ooindonk, near Deinze, only a short drive from Gent.
The games were apparently part of an international competition, with competitors from The States, Iceland, Germany, amongst others. There were also birds of prey on display, where it was possible to get very close to see and photgraph them.Sadly there were only a few market stands- although not of terribly great quality, and only one pipe band, who managed to showcase their entire repertoire (several times!)
I took lots of photos , and there are only a few here, but there are many more on my facebook if anyone is interested.
