Like the rest, thank you very much for the continued updates. Especially the news that he is kilted, again. Those withdrawal problems will be greatly reduced!!!

Firstly, I think I speak on behalf of the rabble who have yet to weigh in that we are all gratefull to hear of the good recovery so far. May the days ahead yield faster recovery than the days just passed. My thoughts and prayers continue with Hamish as he continues to recover.

Secondly, thanks to Jim for keeping us all informed of his condition and recouperation. Acquaintances are a dime a dozen, friends are often counted on one hand in a lifetime. Thank you for being a friend to Hamish.

Jim wrote: “He and I are both very impressed by the standard of the home, and yet again he is making fans of everyone. And the food is great. Most of the vegetables come from their own garden and they have a chef who really knows his stuff.”

This is good news. My wife spent a week in a convalescent home last year after breaking her leg. The standard of care at the home was excellent, but unfortunately the food was not.
There was a dietician on the staff who went to see my wife and gave her a lo-o-o-o-ong list of things she should and should not eat — but she had no control over the kitchen, which served up things entirely unsuitable for my wife’s needs.
So Hamish is batting on a good wicket there!
And Jim, not that Hamish needs any encouragement, but tell him to keep on kilting!
    Best regards,
    Mike

You are certainly speaking for me and your second paragraph is particularly apt.

Thanks for all the good wishes, which I am passing on, of course. Also, thanks for the thanks.

Today, Hamish was in a real kilt, and not just any kilt. Barb T. will be especially pleased to know it was his #100, the Personal Tartan Kilt. And absolutely splendid it looked too. He admitted wearing it was challenging, but he was determined, and looked pretty pleased with himself, and so he should be.

Everything is continuing to plan, and if this remains the case, I get to spring him next Wednesday. The weather remains sunny and warm, so he is getting out as much as possible. I ran him up to the town center today, so he could buy a few items. Other than taking our time, it was no problem. Fortunately it's a very small center.

    More in a few days,

    Jim

Thanks, Jim, for the update. I'm sure the "Hamish Hundredth" was quite smashing as the two of you were out and about.

Very glad to continue to hear encouraging reports.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were some measure of healing help woven into that beautiful Centennial Kilt.
