    Thank you, Jock, for stepping in and pointing out the drawbacks of a glengarry.
    I have never been keen on it – partly because I have never worn one, but also because its style doesn’t appeal to me.
    My own preference is for the tam o’shanter, but that is because I wore one in the army, while it was our officers who wore balmorals.
