The slight hiatus from here is nothing sinister. It was due to my scheduled absence to attend a family gathering in the southwest of England. That was great success and and now that I'm back on the estates, I was able to see him today. The news is good.
With any luck at all, the next posting from these parts should be from The Hamish himself! On shedual, I am gong to the convalesence home tomorrow morning to collect him and bring him home. Other than some remaining tenderness and the lack of stamina one might expect, Hamish is very much his old self.
Considering the nature of the operation, that such a rapid recovery is possible is a testament to modern medicine. The NHS has done us proud. The only thing we need now are the results from the biopsy, which are due in a week or so. Fingers crossed.
