While stuck inside due to heavy rain and the occasional funnel cloud (!!), I finished a project I've been thinking about.
I had lots of great tartan scraps from a kilt (pleat cut-outs). I had to use them for something. So with a simple design, a trip to the local JoAnn's Fabric store, and a lot of measuring, off I went...
Plan it (About 24" length, 4.5" tall)
Seam it (Cut curved bottoms, sew it and don't sweat the sett)
Hem it and pleat it (Hide the sewn edges within a peat, sew top, baste/sew bottom with wide stitch to hold in place)
Press it and sew it (Sew on lining, sew on top trim and velcro strips)
Sporran it (Make it with spare leather, fur and one rivet)
Accessorize it (Sew it on and remove bottom basting)
Display it!
