Stunning! I've really come to like skunk sporrans in recent days, and this one is really incredible.

I, too, am quite fond of the red interior, though maybe for a more practical reason; it makes it easier to see what's inside!

Inspirational! It is all wonderful, but the lacing happened to catch my eye--it is very well done, and adds detail and dimension. Very, very nice!

Artificer, I have never really liked skunk fur sporrans. The white stripe is usually all over the place and the finish of the pelt just never seem quite right.

Your offering has completely changed my mind, you have obviously taken great care to select a pelt that is, to my eyes, near perfect and the combination of the beaten leather cantle and the pelt is outstanding. Being the proud owner of your No 8, I can say that your stiching is as imaculate as ever and the braiding looks to be of the same high standard.

Congratulations to you on such a fine creation and congratulations to the commissioner for his superb aquisition

thank you all for the very kind words. This one was a real pleasure to make, and ShaunMaxwell was a fantastic guy to collaborate on the project with.

Downunder Kilt- sometimes skunk can be really bushy, the other pelt I got has a very thick coat under the guard hair, which makes for a very plush fur, but it can be a bit 'shrubby'. The hide Shaun chose to use was VERY sleek, with a long guard hair. It really lays down nicely.

Hopefully we'll get some pix of #11 on it's new owner in a few days.

very nice. I have made my own sporrans in the past, and though I am proud to wear them, they look like rubbish compared to yours. I am very jealous of your skill sir!

it isn't the chanter that's the difficulty. It's what the chanter eventually LEADS to that will result in the expensive expenditure problems.
