Is 2011 the year wool / PV kilts make a come back?

following a chain of events among major Asian cotton producers that has choked off global supply.

The price of raw cotton reached 90 cents a pound this year, up from the 40 or 50 cent average,...

So come January, besides paying more for cottonwear, there may be one more side effect for consumers - the comeback of polyester. Or rather, poly-cotton.

I'm with you on that.

Fortunately, I mostly use poly-cotton, wool, and nylon for my projects. Of course, the rise in cotton prices could force a slight rise in other materials' costs due to increased demand. Time will tell.

I've had a pair of jeans sitting in my closet for the past year. If I'm not wearing a kilt, I look forward to the time at the end of the day when I can. I wear wool or pv kilts all year long. The heck with cotton prices as most of my clothing purchases don't fall into that category.

The price of cotton went up? How? Did the boll weevils unionize? Protest that they should have exclusive rights to the cotton???? Didn't get their government stimulus checks timely????
