And now for the important question: what did you play?

Actually, the truth isn't all that interesting. I'm a big science fiction fan (and a fan of science fact, as well) and I really enjoyed Ben Bova's Mars novels. If you haven't read them, and like SF at all, you probably should. The hero is a geologist who goes on the first manned mission to Mars. Tithonium Chasma features prominently in the books.

Also, nice tune choices. Men of Erin seems especially appropriate.

I've read all of Ben Bova's books - would love to go to Mars myself some day. Too old, though. Have to live vicariously through the experiences of some fabulously intelligent people in the astronaut corps - but am really hoping that we will set foot on Mars before I pass on. It's fun to have a daughter who might actually make it there some day.
I didn't say that I had the incomparable pleasure of working next to my daughter as a professional geologist - she was the OPSLINK between the operations folks and the science team for several days and then one of the field geologists accompanying the rover teams and evaluating what they were doing. Am I a proud mama or what?

Barb, sounds like a good selection of tunes to me. I'd wager that is the first time a lunar module of any time has been piped home! BTW thanks for the video link, I really enjoyed it and the other links you have provided for your current "mission".
