Paisley Kilt - as Suggested by Grant

When I posted photos of my Paisley tartan kilt some time ago, the Kilted Abuser of Rubber Chickens wrote:-

Indeed, I do like your kilt very much but when the title of the thread I was sort've hoping to see this:

So here is the Paisley pattern kilt:-

and of course the obligatory pleats shot.

I had a long wait for this one, which arrived today at the condo where I am staying at Loon Mountain this week. Well worth the wait though. A beautifully crafted lightweight kilt by Astrid Olafsen of Sillikilts with lovely crisp pleats and it fits me perfectly. Fastening is Utilikilt style with front studs. She came good on her promise to get the kilt to me in time for the New Hampshire Games.

Not too bad, but being green, it looks like a camo kilt. Though I have to admit that Grant's color scheme would've been quite a sight. ;)

From a distance, it does look like camouflage.

What do you pleat paisley to? The swirl?

Congratulations on its arrival at Loon BEFORE your return to Scotland. I know that you are real happy about that, as is my postage account.

    Cheers,

Very good looking--and Paisley means never having to admit you match....

Was that you wearing this today? I think I saw you at the end of the day by the parade grounds. If it was you must post a picture of that outfit! We tried to find you at the Clan Cunningham tent earlier in the day to say Hello but afraid we missed you. Tomorrows another day!

Yes I wore the Paisley pattern kilt yesterday afternoon. This is a photocall with a couple who had been at the Boston Kilt Night the previous week, sorry I can't remember names.
I will be wearing my Cunningham modern kilt at the games today.
Look out for the x-marks dandelion.
    Hope to meet you.

    I'm impressed.

When my partner and I were planning our wedding folks kept asking what our colour scheme would be. We didn't have one (bad fags!) but, tired of being asked, I finally said "paisley." And yes, that became the theme. There was paisley on every table at the reception, and we both wore paisley ties, but all sorts of folks wore paisley as well. So now when asked to name my favorite colour I do say "paisley." But I'd never actually considered getting a paisley kilt.
