Poll: What do you use your belt loops for?
In one of my posts, a comment was made that I should only use my belt loops for the sporran strap. I have read this before, but paid it no mind. I wondered if I was the only person to use my belt loops for a belt, so, here is a poll (regardless of the outcome, I will still use the loops how I see fit).

For the belt, from which I use sporran hangers. When I use a sporran chain, it does not go in the belt loops.

For an off-the-rack kilt like the Stillwater, I may use them for the belt, to keep it from sliding up. Sometimes on a USA Kilts semi-trad, though they fit much, much better.
Interestingly enough, my sporran strap never goes in the loops. Hrmm, shall we say "hardly ever?"
My tank doesn't have any loops.

Sporran strap only, for me.

Only for the belt. The sporran strap seems to tend to itself ok.
But I guess I'm curious. If you put only the sporran strap in the loops, then the belt must (it seems) go over the strap. Which seems a bit odd to me.

My sporran strap is the only thing that goes into the "belt loops", never the belt. However, my new Tewksbury is being built with no "belt loops" so my belt will go over my sporran strap in the rear just as it does now. The loops really are an unnecessary addition.

This my feeling, as well. It's my darned clothing- I'll wear it how it's most comfortable!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
