Must...resist...urge...to buy this tartan! If there's any fabric left this weekend, I may forgo my Galloway order (just received my swatches from Rocky) and pull the trigger on the Bluebonnet instead. I don't wanna miss out!

Better get on it, I heard a rumour that there is only 6 or 7 kilts worth left of the PV?
I don't know what Rocky's criteria for keeping a tartan in stock is, but the Bluebonnet seems like a pretty good mover!

It's been a decent mover, but it's also privately owned, so I'll have to get the owner's permission to do another run if I want to.
BEWARE: Another US Based "budget" kilt company is having the material woven in Pakistan without the owner's permission and making up kilts in this cloth. They actually ordered legitimate swatches from us (without telling us who they were) to send to their Pakistani weaver to copy without permission. Luckily, I recognized the name of the person before sending the swatch.
I don't want to "name names" as they haven't started selling them yet, but if you see any other company with this tartan, it should ONLY be Scotland Forever (from Texas) or USA Kilts. We're the only 2 with current permission to weave this tartan from the designer.

Scotland Forever does not have permission to do this tartan and in fact has been violating the copyright for many years.
To my knowledge, there is only ONE company in the USA that has permission to produce, market, and sell the Texas Bluebonnet.... But since we do not want to "Name names"..............

Copyright discussions on the internet are right up there with land wars in Asia for things that one should avoid getting involved in.
I'm not a mod, but if there are allegations of copyright violation, it seems to me that it might be best left for the owner of the copyright to enforce it through appropriate legal action, rather than just tossing out allegations on a forum such as this one.

It is easy to discuss copyright issues when you have a written agreement from the copyright holder and the copyright holder has informed you that "The Other Guys" have been violating the copyright.

If you look at the Texas Bluebonnet Tartan page from the Scottish Tartan Authority, it doesn't list a copyright, like it does on the page for my tartan here. So maybe it's not a copyright infringement, but more of a douche move.

Here's the entry for the Bluebonnet tartan in the Scottish Register of Tartans:
