I once performed this very task on another forum, trolling through thousands of members and twirling my spammers banning hammer like a spanner. It is a LARGE job. Well done, Steve.

To answer Turpins question.....
Many of the numbers of our members etc, can be found by clicking on the Forum tab at the top of any page and scroll down to the "What's going on" boxes at the bottom.
As of this morning here is where we stand.
We have 12,442 total members.
We have 1677 active members (Those who have logged in and made at least one post within the last 90 days.)
Very soon we will reach a new milestone as we pass 750,000 posts. (Darn you guys talk a lot.)
As I type this at 11:00 am there are 22 registered members and 82 guests currently online, on the forum.
250 registered members and 1854 guests have visited the site since midnight.
As you can see X Marks is a huge forum. If you discount forums about computers, cars and gaming we rank up there as one of the largest forums in the world.
The software uses what are called "User groups" to categorize and track members.
8,411 - .Registered Members (This is the main usergroup. Most of our members are in this group).
3,282 - Banned as Spammers (This are people who are proven to be actual spammers)
635 - Non-Active Members (This is the group I am working on. members in this group have never made a post or have not logged in for over 1 calendar year.)
37 - Revoked Memberships (This is the usergroup for those who repeatedly violate our rules or who have a record of attempting to disrupt the forum).
7 - Forum Moderators (our current staff)
8 - Retired Staff (Those who have served in the past).
1 - Owner Emeritus (Hank Hanna, our founder).
1 - Administrator (me)
2 - In Remembrance (Members who have passed).

The statistics alone tell us that Steve has been busy with a herculean labour.
Well done, Steve, and again many thanks.

Thanks Steve,
I was able to log in and post within the 90 day time span after vacationing from the site for a while. Seriously, you have managed an difficult task fairly.

Steve, thank you and the moderators who contribute much blood, sweat, tears and cash to allow us this little piece of kilted heaven on earth.
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

Having been AWOL for about 2 months (or so) I am just now reading this, and wanted to add my voice to those who have said "Thank You" Steve, & all the mods (past & present), who labor to help make this a truly unique, wonderful, & safe place to interact with so many special souls!
Steve, I need to get my passport in order so I can trip across the border & buy you a pint (or a cup of special brew )!
Cheers!

Family trauma-drama has for a while kept my mind on things other than pleasurable pursuits. I'm glad that I did check-in and hope that this post keeps my viewing privileges active.
