What a great wedding! Everyone looks like they are having so much fun! Love your brass cantled sporran.
Great to see all the kilts being worn by Scots. We hear so much about how the kilt is NOT worn in Scotland, it is good to see evidence to the contrary. I am reminded of Ambrose Bierce's taxonomy: "Kilt, noun. A costume sometimes worn by Scotchmen in America and Americans in Scotland."
Not so, not so...
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.
