Racking up the events

Good morning all,

Seems the social calendar is stacking up. As mentioned in a previous post I have the Navy Ball as a black tie event. Also have a conferance dinner the following week and a post conferance "meet and greet" dinner (steak house, it is Texas) the next evening.

Getting the Navy dialed in to a respectable level thanks to your guys help and advise. Thank you all.

Now I not sure about the other two next week. Just got a couple books on "gentleman" knowledge which includes a dress guide. Covers all the "ties" well but does not cover the modern titles of dress codes. Things like Friday night which is business formal and business casual on Saturday. I am thinking for business formal would be #7 in the 10 looks? Maybe #3 for the busness casual?

Granted I need to get a jacket in by next week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If not I was going to try one of the modern looks we discussed over in the 10 looks for a modern kilt and go with the PC, a black shirt and black tie, not the bow, for the Friday night dinner.

Are you going with the basic black, or a grey/tweed?

Was going to go with the black but when I got home and fired up the kilt for heat treating a blade I got nothing. Did some repairs but had to cancel the jacket and put that money toward saving for a new oven. About $1000.
