Thats true Alex. After you check in the Navajos load you in the back end of trucks and drive about five miles upstream through sand. Then they let you out and you walk uphill through the canyon until the canyon opens up into a wash again where folks relax a bit before turning around and going back through the canyon to the entrance. You're always passing folks going the other way.
