    Lousy pictures, poor light, but ...

    The first time I wore this kilt it was to a relatively formal affair, so I wore grey hose to match the Wallace jacket, with a violet shirt. Wearing the same kit with red makes the kilt look completely different in colour. I've also worn it with a green t-shirt, and with a blue formal shirt, and again, it looks very different.

    So I love the tartan. And John's work is fabulous. No kilt I've worn has gotten the same level of positive comment. Oh, and he threw in the scarf - made from a remnant of the tartan - just because...

    That's interesting how that tartan, when framed differently, takes on a different aspect... kind of like hazel eyes.

    And the tartan scarf is awesome. Somehow better than tartan flashes or a tartan tie...
