Two new ones
Hi all,
Just got two kilts in from Eleazar. Both these were for trades for blades, one hunter and one sgian dubh. Both are really good construction and fit very nicely. Mind you I still need to iron them before wearing out.
First one is a carthart. Going to be a great casual kilt.

Here is the hidden pocket and the fasteners. He used buttons on both sides for adjustments. Makes for a nice fit.

Here's the back with Kingussie pleats. I've been wanting a kilt with these pleats and both are a great piece -

The second one is blue digital camo pattern that the Navy is using for our working uniform called NWU. I really wanted this big time when he offered. Notice the Navy emblem on the lower edge just to the right of center?

Here are them on. I will have to work on matching the browns or at least something that doesn't clash to bad -

My try at a Hamish -

Here is the NWU. Both just a general wear and with the blouse and cover. I wish I had a black bag like the beige one above. I think I like the casual look but I better not go around base in the blouse and kilt though

And another try at a Hamish -

With the full garb -

Really have to thank Eleazar for the great work he did on the both of the kilts.

They look great. Careful the Marines don't see you in the bottom one. They'll get too excited.

Aye, bigtime congrats on a couple of wonderful kilts! It looks like the fit is spot on, and the hang is really excelent.
Good choice of color/pattern, too.

What????
You mean you aren't supposed to wear your kilt as a substitute uniform at work??

OOPS!! As we were taking another picture in a different location, our Deputy Commander was standing there looking at us and said something to the effect of "Yeah...this is how we get in trouble on the internet!" If you can't have fun at work occasionally (especially when you're in Afghanistan for a year), you need to find a new job!

I'm really glad you liked them. They were a blast to make for you.
My wife and kids got a kick out of seeing you in them. Thanks for the great review.

Can I just say that I think this is about the coolest thing I've seen in forever. Thanks for what you do in general, and thanks for putting a (n even biggers) smile on my face

This is an awesome shot. I don't know of any other people at the base here who wear kilts so I can't do the same.

To all of you currently serving, Thank you for standing the watch.
To those who served before me, Thank you for both standing the watch and teaching me how to properly stand my watch.
The watch never ends, it is merely passed from one generation to the next. It is the price of Freedom.
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.
