    Where I spend my time

Working at the lathe, the hanging lathe tools are homemade, and a duck decoy in process on the shelf. And I just noticed I have a pretty nice tush in this picture.

Working on a Kilt pin. Other items in this picture are homemade lures and some gourd work to the right of the picture. Tomahawks from a deer jawbone, Ball headed NA warclubs, shillelagh, and a club from a cow horn hanging on the left. The Fridge has some of my Granddaughters first painting we did on the garage floor, as well as a BSU (go broncos) magnet.
The t-shirt is a Weed High School Gaelic Football T, over an Amerikilt that I need to iron .

I love seeing other peoples pictures with all their hobbies or (habits) around them. They are so revealing!

    I agree.

I was just going through some pics and noticed that they're all either me working my butt off on some house or yard renovation, or trying to look like I am, or planning one out, etc. Once I finish this kitchen remodel I'm moving the old cabinetry downstairs and setting up shop so I can do something involving my own interests. I'll have to convince the wife that it's full of poisonous spiders...then I can shut off the cellphone, turn on some music and have fun!

That is a nice set up you have there. I can see it gets a lot of use!

I agree with you on the thing about pictures of us in our workspaces being very personally revealing! So with that in mind... Here's a picture of me at my workplace!

    Thanks for the replies.

Nighthawk - what are ya working on? I spy in the background a niffty quiver and arrows, do you make your own?

I do the leather work. The arrows I did not make. Here are some pictures of the belt/quiver you're seeing:

Leather work courtesy of yours truely.

    Travis, where'd your hair go??

Legba, you should see that leatherwork in person! Are you on a woodworking or metal lathe in your picture?

Sadly, the majority of my "where I spend my time" pics do not involve kilts, since they involve grease, sparks, crawling around on the floor, and fending off molten metal in awkward positions...visualize the reaction of friends and neighbors, if they walked in on you resting on a creeper, upper half engaged in a reconstitution of the spleen/heart/duodenum of some metal beast, kilted lower half waiting to greet whoever walked by!

When not in the garage...I like to be in the middle of nowhere.

Had to walk up the creek a bit...

Drat, the current pulled a sock down. Thought I felt that garter getting loose earlier.

Walking in the creek was not only a necessity, but led to things like this:

More "kilt in natural environment"...more of these, when the truck in the previous picture is finished!

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have some pictures from solo piping comps, but they're a lot less interesting, and all the pictures from my garage don't involve kilts since it isn't a kilt-friendly sort of place. Even that guy from the UK website with the leather leg protectors under his UK would probably get spatter burn, fiberglass rash, or gear oil in the strangest places. It's a Carharrt sort of place.

Wildrover, my hair had gotten all split and unhealthy, so I hacked it off. I may let it grow back, or I may not! Haven't made up my mind yet. And thanks for the compliment on my work.
