The last bit of Samhain (except for revivals of the rituals) left in America is the bonfire. But, this is limited to more rural areas where fire laws are less strict.

Well, coconuts don’t grow where I live, but our beaches are covered in white sand, and at Christmas time they are covered with people!
South of the Equator (and at the Equator) hot weather and Christmas go hand in hand. It’s your snow that is strange!
